Notice of Meeting

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) will hold a public meeting in Cambridge, Ohio on September 16, 1996 to discuss the draft environmental impact statement (DEIS) on decommissioning the Shieldalloy Metallurgical Corporation (SMC), Cambridge, Ohio facility. NRC announced the availability of the DEIS on July 25, 1996 (61 FR 38789). The entire meeting will be open to the public. NRC staff and contractors will be available to summarize the DEIS, answer questions related to information presented in the DEIS, and listen to comments to be considered in developing the final environmental impact statement. The primary objective of the meeting is to receive public comments on the DEIS and most of the meeting will be devoted to this objective.
