Nuclear Energy Institute Petitions NRC for Rulemaking to Enhance Public Health and Safety

The Nuclear Energy Institute has submitted a petition to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission requesting changes to regulations to ensure uranium processing, enrichment, and fuel fabrication licensees use integrated safety assessments to protect public health and safety, and to establish a backfitting provision for regulatory stability.
