FAA Proposes Update to Airworthiness Directive for JanAero Devices B-Series Combustion Heaters

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) proposes to update Airworthiness Directive (AD) 82-07-03 for JanAero Devices B-Series combustion heaters, Models B1500, B2030, B3040, and B4050, to require repetitive operational testing of the combustion air pressure switch and replacement of any faulty switches. The update aims to prevent airplane fires or explosions caused by failure of the heater combustion tube assembly or combustion air pressure switch.
