Boeing 747-400 Series Airplanes Powered by General Electric CF6-80C2 or Pratt & Whitney PW4000 Series Engines - Airworthiness Directive Amendment

The FAA has issued an airworthiness directive requiring Boeing 747-400 series airplanes with General Electric CF6-80C2 or Pratt & Whitney PW4000 engines to modify the engine fuel feed system to prevent a potential fire caused by a fractured coupling nut on the fuel tube. This modification aims to address reports of the coupling nut fracturing, which could lead to fuel release and engine cowling fire.
