FAA Introduces New Engine Ratings for Rotorcraft

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued a new amendment establishing definitions and type certification standards for one-engine inoperative (OEI) ratings, aiming to enhance rotorcraft safety after engine failure or shutdown, and improve takeoff and landing performances, as well as field operations and payload capacity.
