Proposed Revision of Class E Airspace; Ketchikan, AK
This action revises the Class E airspace at Ketchikan, AK. The development of the Global Positioning System (GPS) instrument approach (GPS-B) to Ketchikan International Airport, AK, and the establishment of the Special Visual Flight Rules (VFR) Seaplane holding area at Ward Cove have made this action necessary. The areas would be depicted on aeronautical charts for pilot reference. The intended effect of this proposal is to provide adequate controlled airspace for Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) operations and provide Special VFR seaplane holding at Ketchikan, AK.
