Bell Helicopter Textron, Inc. Proposes Update to Airworthiness Directive for Model 214B, 214B-1, and 214ST Helicopters

Bell Helicopter Textron, Inc. is proposing an update to its airworthiness directive for Model 214B, 214B-1, and 214ST helicopters, which would change the retirement life of the lower planetary spider from 40,000 high-power events to a maximum accumulated Retirement Index Number of 80,000, in an effort to prevent fatigue failure and loss of control of the helicopter.
