U.S. Customs Service to Collect Canadian Province of Origin Information on Imports from Canada

The U.S. Census Bureau plans to instruct the U.S. Customs Service to start collecting data on the Canadian province of origin for imports from Canada, replacing the existing requirement for Canadian province of manufacture on softwood lumber products, as part of a 1987 agreement with Canada to exchange import information.
