OCC, Board, FDIC, and SEC Request Comment on Proposed Rule Regarding Proprietary Trading and Hedge Funds
The OCC, Board, FDIC, and SEC are seeking public input on a proposed rule that would restrict banking entities and nonbank financial companies from engaging in proprietary trading and having interests in or relationships with hedge funds and private equity funds, as outlined in Section 619 of the Dodd-Frank Act.
