FCC Releases Report and Order on Local Competition Provisions in Telecommunications Act of 1996

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has released a Report and Order that establishes national rules and regulations to encourage competition in local exchange and exchange access markets, as required by the Telecommunications Act of 1996, and addresses interconnection issues between commercial mobile radio service providers and local exchange carriers.
