FDA Affirms GRAS Status of Cocoa Butter Substitute Made from High-Oleic Safflower or Sunflower Oil

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has confirmed that a cocoa butter substitute made from high-oleic safflower or sunflower oil is generally recognized as safe (GRAS). Fuji Oil Co., Ltd. (Fuji) had submitted a petition to the FDA for this affirmation.
