OCC, Board, and FDIC Review Regulations Issued Under Economic Growth and Regulatory Paperwork Reduction Act of 1996
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Federal Reserve Board, and Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) are reviewing regulations issued to identify outdated, unnecessary, or overly burdensome rules for banks and other financial institutions. The review, mandated by the Economic Growth and Regulatory Paperwork Reduction Act of 1996, will involve four Federal Register requests for comment over the next two years, starting with a request for feedback on regulations in three categories: Applications and Reporting, Powers and Activities, and International Operations.
