FDA Amends Filing Notice for Petition to Affirm GRAS Status of Certain Enzyme Preparations
The FDA is amending the filing notice for a petition that proposes to affirm the Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) status of certain enzyme preparations from animal, plant, and microbial sources, including those from Bacillus amyloliquefaciens, as direct human food ingredients. The Enzyme Technical Association, formerly the Ad Hoc Enzyme Technical Committee, filed the petition (GRASP 3G0016).
