Cochlear Corp. Receives FDA Approval for New Cochlear Implant Indication

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved Cochlear Corp.'s supplemental application for premarket approval of a new indication for use for the Nucleus 22-Channel Cochlear Implant, following the recommendation of the Ear, Nose, and Throat Devices Panel. The approval was notified to Cochlear Corp. by the FDA's Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH) on August 21, 1995.
