FDA Confirms Effective Date for Ferrous Lactate Color Additive Rule

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has confirmed the effective date of September 4, 1996, for a final rule that amended color additive regulations to allow the safe use of ferrous lactate in coloring ripe olives, as published in the Federal Register on August 2, 1996 (61 FR 40317).
