Milk Industry Merges Southeast Marketing Areas

The US government has finalized a rule combining five Federal milk order marketing areas with unregulated counties in Arkansas, Georgia, Mississippi, and Tennessee to form the Southeast marketing area, following industry proposals and a referendum in which over two-thirds of affected dairy farmers voted in favor of the change.
