US Food Safety and Inspection Service Amends Meat and Poultry Import Regulations

The US Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) published a direct final rule on July 28, 1995, to amend the Federal meat and poultry products inspection regulations, replacing the phrase 'at least equal to' with 'equivalent to' to align with the Uruguay Round Agreements Act and comply with the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) 1994.
