US Department of Agriculture Adopts Final Rule for Administrative Assessments on Non-Signatory Peanut Handlers

The US Department of Agriculture has finalized a rule requiring non-signatory peanut handlers to pay a $.70 per net ton administrative assessment for peanuts received or acquired during the 1995-96 crop year, while signatory handlers continue to pay the same rate as before.
