US Department of Justice Finalizes Regulations for Tax Administration Disclosures

The US Department of Justice has released final regulations allowing offices of US Attorneys to disclose returns and return information for tax administration purposes, expanding authority previously held by the Tax Division, and aligning with changes to the law made by the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1990.
