US Department of Labor to Revise Labor Force Statistics Method for Large States and Areas

The US Department of Labor's Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) will change its approach to estimating monthly labor force statistics for 13 large states and two major metropolitan areas, starting from January 1996, due to funding cuts and volatility in the Current Population Survey (CPS) estimates.
