Safety Standards Fire Protection in Shipyard Employment

OSHA announces its intent to establish a Fire Protection in Shipyard Employment Negotiated Rulemaking Advisory Committee (the ``Committee''), under the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA) and the Negotiated Rulemaking Act (NRA), to negotiate issues associated with the development of a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking to regulate fire hazards in shipyard employment. The Committee will include representatives of the parties interested in, or affected by, the outcome of the proposed rule. OSHA also solicits interested parties to submit their nominations for membership or requests for representation, on the Committee.
