Blenheim Expositions, Inc.; Prohibited Trade Practices, and Affirmative Corrective Actions

In settlement of alleged violations of federal law prohibiting unfair or deceptive acts or practices and unfair methods of competition, this consent order prohibits, among other things, a Florida-based company, that produces franchise trade shows and expositions, from misrepresenting the sales, income or profits, or the success rate of franchise owners, unless it possesses and relies upon competent and reliable scientific evidence to support the claims. In addition, the respondent is prohibited from misrepresenting the validity, results, contents, conclusions, or interpretations of any survey, test, poll or study.
