Loewen Group Proposes Consent Agreement to Aid Public Comment

The Loewen Group, Inc. and Loewen Group International, Inc. propose a consent agreement to settle allegations of violating federal law by reducing competition in the funeral services market. The agreement would require the company to divest the Castelwood Funeral Home in Virginia within nine months.
