Food Service Equipment Industry Inc., et al. Reopen Prohibited Trade Practices Order

The Food Service Equipment Industry Inc. and others have been ordered to reopen a 1941 consent order that previously prohibited the sale of certain equipment through unauthorized dealers and direct sales to buyers. The order also sets aside the consent order for the Food Service Equipment Distributors Association, allowing it to operate without restrictions, as the Commission has deemed that the public interest requires the termination of competition orders that are more than 20 years old.
