Department of the Interior Publishes Notice on Approved Tribal-State Compact for Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians

The Department of the Interior has published a notice in the Federal Register regarding the approved Tribal-State Compact between the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians and the State of North Carolina, allowing the tribe to engage in Class III (casino) gambling on its Indian reservation, as mandated by the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act of 1988.
