USDA Revises Tomato Sauce Standards in Response to Industry Petitions

The US Department of Agriculture's Agricultural Marketing Service has finalized a rule revising the United States Standards for Grades of Tomato Sauce, in response to petitions from the Indiana Food Processors Association, Escalon Packers, and Heinz, U.S.A., which aimed to update the standards to better reflect industry practices and improve consistency.
