US Proposes to Allow Importation of New Fruits and Vegetables from Certain Countries

The US Department of Agriculture is proposing to permit the importation of previously prohibited fruits and vegetables from specific regions, subject to inspection, disinfection, and treatment for pests, in order to expand the variety of produce available while maintaining protection against invasive plant pests.
