HHS Finalizes Rule for Surveying and Certifying Skilled Nursing Facilities and Nursing Facilities Under Medicare and Medicaid

The Department of Health and Human Services has finalized a rule implementing changes to the survey and certification process for skilled nursing facilities and nursing facilities participating in Medicare and Medicaid, as mandated by the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1987 and subsequent legislation.
