Southern Pacific Transportation Company (SPTC) has filed a notice of exemption to acquire control of The Denver and Rio Grande Western Railroad Company (DRGW), a move that will simplify corporate control by including DRGW as a subsidiary of SPTC, with no change in operations or management personnel expected.
