Portugal Added to BSE List, US Regulations Remain Unchanged

The US has adopted a final rule to add Portugal to the list of countries with bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE), following the detection of the disease in native cattle, while maintaining existing import restrictions to prevent BSE introduction.
