NMFS Announces Exempted Fishing Permit Request for Snapper-Grouper Fishery of the South Atlantic

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has received an application from Cultimar Technologies, Inc. to collect 200 American red snapper from Florida waters to establish a broodstock population at a research facility in Puerto Rico, with the goal of studying the species' biology and developing aquaculture protocols.
