1995 Rice Acreage Reduction Program Rule Finalized

The US Department of Agriculture has finalized a rule to adjust the acreage reduction percentage for the 1995 rice crop to 5% and set the price support rate for the crop, as mandated by the 1949 Agricultural Act. The changes were prompted by public comments received in response to a September 13, 1994, Federal Register notice requesting feedback on the 1995 Rice Program provisions.
