Statement on Regulatory Burden
This is the second phase of an ongoing effort by the Farm Credit Administration (FCA) to reduce regulatory burdens on the Farm Credit System (FCS or System). Many System institutions responded to the FCA's request for comments by identifying regulations that they consider to be burdensome. The FCA deleted several unnecessary or obsolete regulations in the first phase of this project. This document informs the public of those regulations that the FCA will retain without amendment because they are necessary to: (1) Implement or interpret the Farm Credit Act of 1971, as amended (Act), or (2) protect the safety and soundness of the System. The FCA also identifies pending or future actions that will respond to the remaining regulatory burden issues.
