NRC Publishes Updated Site Decommissioning Management Plan, Lists 47 Contaminated Sites

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission has published an updated version of its Site Decommissioning Management Plan, which lists 47 contaminated sites across the country that require special oversight due to unique or complex decommissioning issues. The plan aims to ensure timely and safe decommissioning of these sites, with nine previously removed from the list after successful remediation or NRC oversight deferral.
