Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards; Air Brake Systems; Long-Stroke Brake Chambers - Rule Amendment to Improve Braking Efficiency

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has finalized a rule to amend the reservoir requirements for trucks, buses, and trailers equipped with air brakes, in response to a petition from the American Trucking Associations (ATA), to improve braking efficiency and reduce out-of-adjustment brakes during inspections.
