NHTSA Allows Importation of Non-Compliant 1992 Mercedes-Benz 260E Cars
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has made a decision to permit the importation of 1992 Mercedes-Benz 260E passenger cars that do not meet all applicable Federal motor vehicle safety standards, as they are substantially similar to a compliant 1992 Mercedes-Benz 300E model and can be easily modified to meet safety standards.
