NHTSA Receives Petition for Importation of Nonconforming Mitsubishi 3000GT and 3000GT VR-4 Cars

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has announced receipt of a petition from Mitsubishi to determine if 1993, 1994, and 1995 models of the 3000GT and 3000GT VR-4 passenger cars are eligible for importation into the US due to their similarity to previously certified vehicles and their potential for modification to meet safety standards.
