New Brake Safety Standards for Medium and Heavy Vehicles
The U.S. government has finalized a rule requiring medium and heavy vehicles to be equipped with anti-lock braking systems (ABS) to improve directional stability and control during braking, in response to the Intermodal Surface Transportation Efficiency Act of 1991.
