NHTSA Allows Importation of Non-Compliant 1993 BMW 525i Passenger Cars
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has made a decision to permit the importation of 1993 BMW 525i passenger cars that do not meet all applicable Federal motor vehicle safety standards, as they are substantially similar to a U.S.-certified version of the vehicle and can be easily modified to comply with safety regulations.
