Porsche Cars North America, Inc. has been granted an exemption from the Federal Motor Vehicle Theft Prevention Standard for a high-theft car line, allowing it to forego parts-marking requirements. The exemption was granted due to the effectiveness of the antitheft device to be installed as standard equipment on the vehicle line.
