FAA Issues Airworthiness Directive for Hartzell Propellers on Mitsubishi MU-2 Aircraft
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued an airworthiness directive requiring replacement of Hartzell Model HC-B4 Series Propellers on Mitsubishi MU-2 series aircraft due to concerns over fatigue cracks and resonant speed. The directive supersedes three existing directives and mandates new repair limits, shot peening procedures, and retirement at 10,000 hours for the affected propellers.
