FAA Proposes New Airworthiness Directive for Alexander Schleicher Model ASK 21 Gliders
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for Alexander Schleicher Model ASK 21 gliders, requiring the replacement of a faulty rocker and updates to the flight manual to prevent loss of elevator control. The move comes after two incidents involving the parallel rocker breaking at the elevator connection on affected gliders.
