FAA Issues Revised Airworthiness Standards for Rotorcraft Engines
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has released a revised Supplemental Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (SNPRM) to update airworthiness standards for rotorcraft engines, following comments received on a proposed rule published in 1989. The revised rule aims to establish new type certification standards for higher power levels, including 30-second and 2-minute one-engine-inoperative ratings.
