FAA Proposes Revised Emergency Evacuation Demonstration Procedures for Transport Category Airplanes

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is proposing changes to emergency evacuation demonstration procedures for transport category airplanes, aiming to improve participant safety and codify existing practices, in response to recommendations from the Performance Standards Working Group (PSWG) of the Aviation Rulemaking Advisory Committee (ARAC). The proposed revisions would require partial evacuation demonstrations for domestic, flag, and supplemental air carriers and commercial operators of large airplanes.
