Sensenich Propeller Manufacturing Company Inc. Proposes Revision to Airworthiness Directive for Certain Metal Propellers

The Sensenich Propeller Manufacturing Company Inc. is proposing a revision to an existing airworthiness directive that restricts the continuous operation of certain metal propellers at engine speeds between 2,150 and 2,350 RPM. The proposed change aims to address concerns over tachometer red arc restrictions on specific Textron Lycoming O-360 series engines with solid crankshafts, with the goal of preventing propeller blade tip fatigue failure and loss of aircraft control.
