X.500 Registration of U.S. Government Organizational Units

The U.S. government has granted the Electronic Messaging Program Management Office (E-Mail PMO) the authority to manage X.500/Directory entries for U.S. government organizational units, effective May 11, 1995, following a delegation by the U.S. Department of Commerce's National Institute of Standards and Technology.
