NMFS Prohibits Pacific Cod Fishing in Gulf of Alaska Using Hook-and-Line Gear

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has prohibited directed fishing for Pacific cod by catcher/processors using hook-and-line gear in the Central Regulatory Area of the Gulf of Alaska to prevent exceeding the 2026 total allowable catch allowance for this fishery.
