Federal Acquisition Regulation; Federal Acquisition and Community Right-to-Know

The Civilian Agency Acquisition Council and the Defense Acquisition Regulations Council have agreed on an interim rule to amend the Federal Acquisition Regulation to implement Executive Order 12969, which requires government agencies to contract with companies that publicly report toxic chemical releases. The rule also incorporates the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act and the Pollution Prevention Act into federal government contracts.
