Communications With the Patent and Trademark Office

The Patent and Trademark Office (Office) is proposing to amend the rules of practice in patent and trademark cases to simplify and streamline existing mailing procedures. The new procedures will include specific addresses for most mail to ensure faster and more accurate mail delivery. A definition of ``Federal holiday within the District of Columbia'' is provided and the procedure for ``Express Mail'' will be simplified.
