NMFS Adjusts Harpoon Category Retention Limit for Atlantic Bluefin Tuna Fisheries

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) is reducing the daily retention limit for Atlantic bluefin tuna caught using harpoons from 10 to 5 large, medium, and giant fish, effective June 1 through November 15, 2026, for vessels permitted under the Atlantic Tunas Harpoon category.
